Life Hack: How to Grab Netflix without a Credit Card

If you’re old enough to remember the days when you used a ‘splitter’ to connect your cable to your neighbors cable outside , then you will be delighted to know you succeeded in getting away with “hacking” someone else’s cable, congratulations! Everyone seems to be into the “hacking” business these days.

There are literally hundreds of YouTube videos streaming “life hacks”, featuring everything from the easiest way to separate egg yolks to, well, you name it and there’s bound to be a “life hack” somewhere out in the World Wide Web. Lately, I’ve been writing about how to unblock Netflix outside the US and outside the UK. The focus of this article will be about how to grab a Netflix account without a credit card.

With the recent move by many mainstream television networks to go streaming, pay-tv will soon sit on the same shelf as an analog television set. Many pay-tv companies such as Verizon and AT&T are feeling the pinch of millions of subscribers ditching their pay service for streaming Netflix and Amazon Prime memberships, just to name a few.

Some of these pay-tv services are now starting to offer ‘free’ Netflix as a streaming based add-on to their bundle packages. With cable television rushing out the door, it’s no wonder people are scrambling to find the best way to watch movies, television series’ and sports without having to mortgage your house to do it. So, how do you watch Netflix without a credit card?

Netflix is the largest movie site out there today. Even though Hulu is blazing a trail for television sites (boasting #3 in the streaming wars), Netflix also offers a fair amount to television series as well. With a whopping 50 million members, Netflix offers all the latest movies on any device that has the Netflix app. But there’s a catch—you need a credit card to create an account; or do you?

Credit and Debit

Now that you have, hopefully, read extensively how to get a topnotch VPN or also our recommended is IPvanish VPN, and you’re now a pro at unblocking Netflix, you need an account. But there’s a payment screen that you need to fill out.

Credit-and-Debit-Cards

If you’re like many people today, you really don’t like someone you don’t know, and have never seen, having access to you hard earned money whenever they feel like it, no matter how secure they claim to be. Or you simply don’t have a credit card. Thankfully, many banks today treat your debit card like a credit card.

So as long as there are a major credit agency logo on the front of the card such as Visa or Master Card you, for all intents and purposes, have a credit card. If you have a debit card, you can use it to establish a Netflix account. There is one thing I should mention here about debit/credit cards. Gift Cards will not work. Although they look just like a credit/debit cards, complete with a CVV number on the back, gift cards are not accepted by Netflix as valid forms of payment.

They do, however, offer their version of a gift card that can be redeemed for the service as payment. You can also use a prepaid debit card as well, so long as you have enough money on the card every month to pay a monthly fee. Prepaid cards are not the same as a “gift” card.

PayPal

PayPal is a fantastic payment site that allows you to make purchases and pay bills without ever having to touch a piece of plastic. Credit/Debit cards get lost and expire making them more trouble than they are worth. PayPal encrypts everything about you. All the other end sees is your email address that’s it. No X’d out numbers; no user information what so ever.

Everything in PayPal is linked to your bank account or through a PayPal credit account or buyer’s account. And the good thing about this is Netflix accepts this as a form of payment. You can use your PayPal account to create a Netflix account outside US, and no credit card need ever be used.

Here’s the Rub

There are many sites out there that tout you can get a Netflix account without a credit card, and this is all fine and well, except they aren’t giving you the whole story. Read on through those sites, and you’ll find out how to get “fake” credit card numbers.

Netflix

Many so called “free Credit Card Number” sites work about half the time and only for a Netflix trial membership. But, here is how to do it if you wish to give it a try:

  • Sign up for free trial membership; if a 30-day trial is offered, choose that. The 30 trial will give you a few more days to play with rather than the 14-day trial.
  • Go to GetCreditCardNumbers.com or depositfiles.com/files/ax5hlg3n2
  • Obtain a “fake” credit card number.
  • Avoid sites that offer “test” credit card numbers-they are usually survey sites and don’t give you any numbers at all.
  • Be wary of malware and viruses attached to these “free card” sites.

These credit card generating sites are ideal for those who are using a VPN like IPVanish, however, as with everything else I write about, DO YOUR HOMEWORK! Many of these sites are survey sites and only want you to take their survey using a series of rather annoying redirects that will inevitably not get you a bogus credit card number.

And also, many of these sites are loaded with malware and viruses that are just waiting for some unsuspecting sod to come along. Bottom line is there  is no way to get Netflix without having to pay for it. But you can get a Netflix account without a credit card as I’ve already outlined.  But there is one final way to crack this safe.

Phone a Friend

The only real way to get Netflix without a credit card and without paying for it is to create your  profile on someone else’s Netflix account. Netflix allows up to five different profiles on one subscriber account, allowing each member of your household to enjoy their version of Netflix on their televisions or any device. I do this myself with my children. They’re grown now and on their own but, I still take care of them.

I have a Netflix account and allow them to either use my profile or create their own, so they’re not stuck with only my choices and preferences. If you know someone who is as generous as I am , and won’t mind you sharing their account, then you can have Netflix without a credit card and without having to pay for it for as long as the account remains open.

Verdict

Netflix is blazing the trail of online streaming videos and TV shows. Grabbing Netflix without a credit card is not as difficult as many believe it to be. There are a few ways round this without going into the internet pirating realm. The bottom line is you will inevitably have to pay for Netflix if you want to watch for more than a month. Whether you use a debit/prepaid card, PayPal or create a profile on a friend or relatives account, you can watch Netflix without a credit card. I hope this has helped.
